SBD Motorsport MSA British Sprint Championship
Rounds 6 & 7, Pembrey, 31st May & 1st June
In a record breaking run-off Stewart Robb Jnr took a superb win as he dominated the two lap sprint. The young Scot was in imperious form as he smashed the course record time and again. Reigning champion Matt Oliver was close behind in second spot whilst Stewart Robb Snr grabbed third to make it a day to remember for the Scots. Terry Holmes took fourth place despite a failed second run, Mark Smith smashed the two-litre course record en route to fifth and Nick Algar (pictured left) set a new 1600 record to claim sixth.
Stewart Robb Jnr continued to be the man to beat, this time over the one lap format. He again broke the course record time & again becoming the first person to break the 40 second barrier. Matt Oliver, who was driving on the very limit, again took second ahead of Robb Snr. Nick Algar was a fabulous fourth as he again devastated the 1600 record. Terry Holmes finished fifth after recovering from a qualifying spin whilst Mark Smith again smashed the two litre standard on his way to sixth.
