First win for Trident in Formula Master

Brno,  Race 2

In just a few months since its debut in the International Formula Masters, Trident Racing captured an amazing first win in the Brno weekend. On Race 2, Harald Schlegelmilch paced the from the start, and never looked back until checkered. In the Czech round of the series, the Latvian driver managed to control the comeback of Sanchez-Lopez, who drafted him for the whole second part of the race waiting for a mistake... that never came. The day was historic for both Schlegelmilch and Trident Racing: in the end, the team cruised to the top an extremely competitive environment, and thanks to the 7th place scored by Kasper Andersen, the two drivers are paired at the third place in standings. Alejandro Núñez had a much more complicated race. The Spaniard, caught in a contact at the start of Race 1, was forced to start from the back and end up in 17th.Harald Schlegelmilch #31    1thKasper Adersen #32             7thAlejandro Núñez #33            17stHarald Schlegelmilch "It was a fantastic day for me and all the Trident Racing staff, it`s our first win in the International Formula Masters and it feels great. Despite starting for the pole spot, it wasn`t easy. We were starting with some set-up changes, and everything worked in the first part of the race. In the last 10 laps i started to have some problems with tires, with an increasing oversteer I managed to control until the end. Sanchez Lopez got progressively closer and waited for a mistake to attempt a pass, but I was really focused and I stayed at the top. I hope this will be just the first win of the season, and to have a shot at the series` lead soon".Alessandro Alunni Bravi, Managing Director"This win is for our Team Owner Maurizio Salvadori. He wasn`t here this weekend but, as always, was virtually there on race day by keeping in contact with us all the time. His continued support in the first three years of Trident Racing was vital, and it`s great to repay such a great involvement with a maiden win after just three rounds in the International Formula Masters. I`m also happy for Harald. We had a lot of faith in him since the last winter, and he proved his value by keeping a stronger car behind for many laps. He has talent but also can count on his great vision and maturity. I hope this win will promote him among his homeland`s fan base as well as all the fans of the International Formula Master”.
