Grand-Am KONI Challenge Series Championship Banquet to be Held October 6 in Greensboro, North Carolina

Championship banquet to be held following twin six-hour races Oct. 4-5 at VIR

The Grand-Am KONI Challenge Series Grand Sport (GS) and Street Tuner (ST) classes will get to carry their series momentum following their 2008 finale run at Virginia International Speedway for the Bosch Engineering Twin Six Hours races on Oct. 4 and 5 into their Annual Champions Celebration Banquet on Monday, Oct. 6, at the Sheraton Greensboro at Four Seasons in Greensboro, N.C.

The evening begins with a reception at 6 p.m., followed by dinner and awards beginning at 7 p.m. Throughout the evening the top three drivers and teams and the winning manufacturers in the GS and ST classes will be presented with their various awards and bonuses earned during the season.

The Grand-Am KONI Challenge Champions Celebration is open to all series competitors, sponsors, manufacturers and fans. Business Attire is the required dress for the evening. Tickets are $95 per individual and may be ordered on-line at: www.grand-am.com/banquet. Additional inquiries or requests for group reservations for tables of 10 may also be made on this form.

Hotel arrangements can be made by calling general reservations at the Sheraton Greensboro at (800) 242-6556 by Sept. 4. Attendees should mention KONI Challenge Awards as the reason for their stay, and they should be aware that there will be a fee for early check out based on reservations made prior to the event. Rates are $130 per night plus tax.
