Trident GP2 Magny-Cours Preview

The spring break is over for the GP2 Main Series`team and drivers, as everything is ready for the traditional French round of the Championship at Magny-Cours, being the fourth race of the 2008 season. The field will be back racing after the tests held at Paul Ricard on June 10 and 11.

Trident Racing, coming from an incredible 1-2 finish at Monte Carlo with Mike Conway and Ho Pin Tung, is looking forward to stay at the top and battle for victory again. At Paul Ricard, the team carried on a tireless preparatory work and, as it all comes down to racing, the team hopes to see the results stand out clearly. The on-track program will start on Friday with practice, taking off at 11:00, followed by qualifying in the afternoon, at 15:00. Race 1 will start on Saturday at 15:00, followed, on Sunday at 10:30, by Race 2. Sky Sport will televise all the weekend`s activities live, while the highly-appreciated live broadcast of the second race of the weekend on national RAI2 was also confirmed.

Alessandro Alunni Bravi, Managing Director"The Magny-Cours racetrack never brought great results to Trident Racing, despite the good qualifying performances of Gianmaria Bruni in 2006 and Pastor Maldonado in 2007. This time, we`re coming back from an outstanding 1-2 finish at Monte Carlo, that gave an additional motivation to the team`s staff and drivers, in order to keep cars at the top of the charts. After the positive tests held at Paul Ricard, we`re looking forward to a more aggressive approach in order to capitalize the good job done in France. Magny-Cours has become a true classic in the GP2 schedule, held at home for Renault, the series` engine supplier. We hope to confirm our position at the top of the charts without losing consistence, a vital element to aim at a good position in the general standings".
