Harvey and Hancock for Porsche Supercup

at SilverstonePorsche Carrera Cup GB contenders Tim Harvey and Sam Hancock will contest the Porsche Mobil1 Supercup race at Silverstone during the British Grand Prix meeting (4-6 July).The two Carrera Cup title contenders will make the step up for their home round of the international series with the support of PCGB, with Harvey running with his regular Red Line Racing team and Hancock continuing an association with the ToLimit team."This will be the fourth time that I've done the Silverstone round of the Supercup," said Harvey. I'm delighted that my sponsors, Nationwide Crash Repair Centres and Datapulse, are backing me for this race, so my car will run in its usual livery."As the most successful racer in the history of the Carrera Cup GB, with 64 podium finishes from the 110 races run to date, Harvey knows that racing in the international series will be a tough challenge. "I hope we can be in the top 10, but it will be very tough. It's always a big event and we did fairly well last year."Harvey will also represent the British Racing Drivers' Club on the biggest weekend of the season for British motor racing. "The Grand Prix is a fantastic event and this is the 80th year of the BRDC, so it will be an honour to fly the flag in front of the members."Hancock will head to Silverstone fresh from finishing 16th in his Porsche Supercup debut at the French Grand Prix meeting (22 June). Hancock's Carrera Cup team mate Phil Quaife also contested the Magny Cours race following a late opportunity to join the Jetstream squad and scored an impressive 11th place in the hugely competitive field.After the Silverstone weekend, Harvey and Hancock will switch their focus back to the Carrera Cup GB, which resumes at Snetterton on 12/13 July after a mid-season break.
