Pippa Mann joins Carrera Cup GB

Pippa Mann will join the Porsche Carrera Cup GB at Snetterton (12/13 July) and over the balance of 2008 she will combine three Carrera Cup weekends with her existing World Series by Renault single-seater programme.As the first female racer to join the Carrera Cup GB, Pippa will race at Snetterton, Oulton Park and Brands Hatch in order to gain her first experience of racing a sports and GT car. She will race a new 2008 911GT3 Cup car, prepared by Team Eurotech. Mike Jordan's team will enter the car alongside its existing two-car BTCC team.The 23-year old from Ipswich has an impressive karting pedigree and lived in Italy when racing for one of the leading works teams. She remains the only British woman to have won an international kart race.She moved into cars in 2004 in Formula Renault and raced in the British Championship and the Eurocup for three seasons. In 2007 she stepped up to the World Series and will next race in Budapest the weekend before making her Carrera Cup debut at Snetterton.
