The spectacular drivers' challenge at Oulton Park in Cheshire is the next destination for John Guest Racing in the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship.Mike and Andrew Jordan will continue their BTCC campaign this weekend (26/27 July) in rounds 19, 20 and 21 at the Cheshire track, one of the most demanding venues in Britain. It has already been a great season for Mike (50) and Andrew (19) as they team up in the pair of Honda Integras from John Guest Racing and they head to Oulton Park chasing an overall race podium finish and success in the BTCC Independents' Trophy. However, life in the toughest and most competitive British championship is never easy and Mike and Andrew will be aiming to put a troubled weekend at Snetterton last time out firmly behind them at a track they both rate among their very favourite venues."Oulton Park is not a sanitised circuit and it always focuses your mind," said Mike. "I should think everyone on the BTCC grid is looking forward to going to Oulton. We gear the car fairly short for Oulton. It’s only geared for about 125mph as you are never in sixth gear for too long."It is also one of those venues where drivers take an awful lot of kerb at some corners, but that's all part of getting the best lap times. "Most of the current BTCC cars are running quite soft, so running wide over kerbs isn’t much of a problem. Early in the morning at Oulton it can be a little bit damp under the trees at Druids. But that’s one the great challenges of racing at Oulton Park."Meanwhile, Andrew is determined to repeat the sensational form that has marked him out as one of the new rising stars of the BTCC. "We didn't what we are capable of at Snetterton," he admits. That should be firmly put right at Oulton Park. After qualifying at Oulton Park on Saturday, the first of three BTCC races will start at 12.45pm on Sunday. The action will be broadcast on ITV4, with a programme starting at 12.30pm and including live coverage.
