COVENTRY intend to announce a new signing following their home clash with Peterborough on Monday. The Bees overturned a ten-point deficit to beat local rivals Wolves in an exciting contest on Friday, but feel they need strengthening.

Manager Peter Oakes said: "We're looking to bring in a new face. We've got to do something because we're living on our nerves, and they're getting rather shredded!"

DANIEL Nermark's season could be over after the Swede suffered severe knee ligament damage in an horrific crash at Redcar on Thursday.The Workington star also needs further scans on his neck although doctors believe a crack there is an old injury.Comets chief Keith Denham said: "It was the worst crash I have ever seen on a speedway track, and I feared the worst."
