Motors TV will continue its tradition of providing the very best coverage of endurance racing when it screens eight hours of LIVE action from this weekend’s Spa 24 Hours.
The ‘High Speed Television’ channel will follow the FIA GT Championship’s blue-riband event LIVE throughout the daylight hours of Saturday and Sunday, including the crucial race start and finish.
The Spa 24 Hours is set to provide a key battle ground in what has been a fascinating FIA GT Championship season which currently sees eight drivers covered by just two points in the GT1 title fight. With double points on offer at Spa, the leading title protagonists will be desperate for victory. The likes of Christophe Bouchut, Michael Bartels, Karl Wendlinger and Britain’s Ryan Sharp are all in the title race and have all taken victories this season.
Motors TV Head of Programming Frédéric Viger said: “The Spa 24 Hours is one of the monuments of sportscar racing and this year’s race is shaping up to be a classic. Motors TV is very proud to be bringing exclusively live coverage of this event, which will include all the key moments of the race.”
The field includes stunning cars from Corvette, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, Maserati and Saleen in GT1 while Porsche and Ferrari will again do battle in GT2. The grid is also boosted by a selection of stunning GT2 and GT3 machinery, which makes for a 45-car grid and guaranteed action right throughout the field.
