Scottish date for John Guest Racing

Riding high after finishing on the overall podium in the most recent race at Oulton Park, Andrew Jordan will now head north of the border to Knockhill for the next three races in the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship.Mike and Andrew Jordan from John Guest Racing will continue their BTCC campaign next weekend (16/17 August) in rounds 22, 23 and 24 at the Dunfermline track, one of the most exciting venues in Britain. It has already been a great season for Mike (50) and Andrew (19) as they team up in the pair of Honda Integras from John Guest Racing and they head to Scotland chasing another overall race podium finish and success in the BTCC Independents' Trophy. The seasonal highlight so far has been Andrew's drive to third place in front of the live TV cameras in round 21 at Oulton Park. His performance at the Cheshire track clearly demonstrated that he is one of the new crop of rising stars in the BTCC and he is determined to repeat that sort of performance at Knockhill."It was just an unreal feeling to be on the BTCC podium," said Andrew. "With the pace the cars have got I'm sure we can be up there again. To do it at this level and be up on that podium was amazing."However, Mike is equally fired up at the prospect of racing at the challenging moorland track near Dunfermline. "Knockhill is fantastic," said Mike. "It’s one of my favourite circuits. We run the car very short geared there because the maximum speed is not very high and we use the shortest sixth gear of the season at Knockhill," he said of the unique and tricky circuit. Equally, the likelihood of rapidly changing weather can give the teams some real headaches at Knockhill. After qualifying at Knockhill on Saturday, the first of three BTCC races will start at 11.10am on Sunday. The action will be broadcast on ITV4, with a programme starting at 12.30pm and including live coverage of the second and third races.
