Silverstone next for John Guest Racing

After finishing on the overall podium in both of the two most recent meetings at Oulton Park and Knockhill, Andrew Jordan will now bid to make it three in a row at Silverstone (30/31 August) in the penultimate event on the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship schedule.Mike and Andrew Jordan from John Guest Racing will continue their BTCC campaign in rounds 25, 26 and 27 of the 30-race season as the BTCC returns to Silverstone after an absence of nearly two years."It's a great result for everyone in the team, coming off a podium at Oulton Park," said Andrew after finishing third in the final race of the day at Knockhill. "And I think we'll go well at Silverstone too, as our car is good round there."It has been a great season for Mike (50) and Andrew (19) as they team up in the pair of Honda Integras from John Guest Racing and the team is also determined to get Mike onto the overall race podium before the end of the season. However, at least 15 other drivers on the grid all have a podium finish as their target and qualifying at Silverstone will be absolutely critical, as the times will be desperately close. "We'll try and work together in qualifying to get a tow," said Andrew. "Our pace is very similar. At Knockhill, our best race laps were within three-hundredths of a second of each other."After qualifying at Silverstone on Saturday, the first of three BTCC races will start at 11.20am on Sunday. The action will be broadcast on ITV4, with a programme starting at 12.30pm and including live coverage of the second and third races.
