Kieren Clark, the 19-year-old racing driver from Cambridge, will be competing at the Silverstone rounds of the popular Formula Renault UK series.
Formula Renault UK is a support race to the incredibly popular British Touring Car Championship weekend, and huge crowds are expected with live TV coverage on ITV4.
“It’s great having Silverstone so close, it makes it easy for friends and supporters to get to. We are on the national circuit, which is much shorter than the full GP circuit we did earlier in the year, but it will still be fun, with plenty of people coming along to watch,” commented KC. “We’ve only just sorted out the finances for the last 2 races, Silverstone and Brands Hatch, its been touch and go, but now I’m totally focused on this weekend, and looking to improve on my qualifying positions.”
Qualifying will take place on Saturday 30th at 9.30 and 14.30, and rounds 17 and 18 will then follow on Sunday 31st at 09.30 and 15.25.
The second race is to be shown live on ITV4 as part of the channel’s afternoon broadcast from the BTCC.
Paddock entrance and grandstands will be free, plus children under 16 get in free, so it will be a good value weekend.
As well as the thrilling BTCC SEAT / Vauxhall / BMW / Honda clash, support races include, Renault Clio’s, Porsche Carrera’s, Ginetta Junior’s and SEAT Cupra championships.
