Apex Prepares for Next Round of GT3

Apex Motorsport have confirmed the appearance of two Jaguar XKRs for the 4th round of the FIA GT3 European Championships at Brno on 13th and 14th September.  Extensive testing of both Supercharged V8 Jaguars at Silverstone this week recorded the cars’ fastest lap times this season, and the Apex team are keen to see the Jaguar achieve its potential at the famous Czech circuit.

Partnering Phil Quaife for the first time in the Supercharged V8 Jaguar is 21 year old Chris Dymond.  Chris started racing karts aged 12, winning the BRDC Stars of Tomorrow Championship.  In 2006 Chris moved to cars, taking 9 wins in the Fiat Racing Challenge, before moving to the Renault Clio Cup in 2007 where he achieved 5 podiums, as well as being acclaimed as Rookie of the Year. Chris commented: “I’m really excited to be driving for such a well known manufacturer with a tremendous racing heritage.”

Drivers Ben Clucas and Robert Hissom will race the second Apex XKR at the 3.6 mile Brno circuit.
