Exclusive Rockingham track day

for car club members

CAR Club members and track day devotees will have the opportunity to follow in the slip stream of some of the UK’s top motor racing drivers at an exclusive track day hosted by Rockingham on Sunday, October 26.

Due to the high demand for track days, the Northamptonshire circuit is holding its own special event for car club members and driving enthusiasts to come along and experience a real racing track.

The event will take place on Rockingham's 1.94 mile International Super Sportscar circuit, the same track raced by the British Touring Car, British GT and F3 championships for the past two years.

Participants will have the chance to chat over complimentary morning refreshments, before getting the lowdown on the best lines from one of Rockingham’s experienced instructors. The track day will run from 10am to 5pm and includes full medical and safety cover.

Senior Business Development Manager, Nanette Houston, who is responsible for track days at Rockingham, believes the event reflects the circuit’s popularity.

She said: “Track days are always extremely popular at Rockingham, and we wanted to host our own event to give club members the chance to experience our renowned touring car circuit.

“Whether it’s their first track day or their 50th, drivers never get tired of track days as they provide the opportunity to hone their skills and meet others who are passionate about their cars.

“We are sure the day will be a great success, and will be looking to make it a permanent fixture in the Rockingham calendar.”

The day costs £199 for individual drivers. There is also a special discount rate available to car club members of £175 per person, when booking as a group.

Track days at Rockingham are so popular even the BBC’s flagship motoring show Top Gear attended a recent event. Presenters Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May took part in an RMA track day as part their Alfa Romeo challenge.
