N.Technology WTCC update

COUTO TO RE-JOIN N.TECHNOLOGY IN MACAU

N.Technology will run a second Honda Accord Euro R Super 2000 in the FIA World Touring Car Championship season finale at Macau next November, with driver André Couto reprising his yearly seat.

Couto, who won the F3 Macau GP in 2000 and took pole position in the Macau Guia race with N.Technology in 2003, raced for the Italian outfit last year alongside current driver James Thompson.

"Macau has always been a special race for me and being given the opportunity to race there again with N.Technology is great," said the 31-year-old who currently races in the Japanese Super GT series. "It's a very demanding track, which commends a driver's attention but everyone enjoys it greatly! Having seen what the car can do this year, I look forward to getting behind the wheel and seeing what James and I can do on these famous streets."

Couto will be the second driver to join the N.Technology team, alongside Imola race winner Thompson. Japanese racer Yukinori Taniguchi competed with the Italian outfit in Monza last week and will also race with the team for his home rounds in Okayama.

"André has raced with us on several occasions and we always welcome his collaboration," said Team Manager Andrea Muller. "He is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to Macau and we look forward to having him compete with us again."
