“It is absolutely fantastic to win this votwo award, as I take my fitness very seriously. It has not been too difficult fitting everything into the diary and my dad and manager help me with that! My school and friends back home are great – they help me catch up if I miss a few days when I am away racing and they give me a lot of support. The coaches at votwo help to keep my mind focused and the online training programme is really useful for me to follow when I am at home or away.”
Wayne visits votwo coaches for his fitness assessments and one-to-one training every month at the Porsche Human Performance Centre at Silverstone Circuit, Northamptonshire. The centre is a cutting edge sports science facility that specializes in the testing and training of racing drivers. To fit his entire training plan into his busy schedule,
Wayne also follows a bespoke votwo coaching programme delivered online via the company’s innovative 'elog' training diary at www.votwo.co.uk. This allows Wayne’s coaches to monitor his training regime where ever he is in the world. Andy Blow, Director and coach, ‘votwo’ "Wayne was chosen by the ‘votwo’ coaches as he has shown incredible dedication and commitment to his physical training and preparation alongside a hectic schooling and racing schedule in British Formula Ford.
Winning the 2008 championship and Festival capped off a tremendous season for Wayne and the decision to present him with the award was unanimous across the coaching staff."
