Allan McNish At Autosport International

After winning at Le Mans this year and helping Audi Sport secure the 2008 Le Mans series title with an electrifying win at Silverstone, Allan McNish has confirmed that he will be at Autosport International in Birmingham next January.

McNish has much to celebrate this year; a second Le Mans win had eluded him for 10 years until he triumphed along with team-mates Dindo Capello and Tom Kristensen in June.

"Autosport International is the place to really celebrate my achievements," said McNish who regularly attends the show. ?I have been coming here for many years and it just gets bigger and better.

"This year has been fantastic, and not just because of the Le Mans 24 Hours win. Securing the Le Mans series title on home soil in front of 53,000 fans was very emotional, and our win from the back at the Petit Le Mans in America is one that I will always remember."

The Scot will be signing autographs and giving his fans a chance to share this year's success at Autosport International.

"I really enjoy the show; it opens the door on motorsport and gives fans a chance to meet the drivers and get close to the cars," said the 38-year-old. "It also gives me the opportunity to meet some old friends and chat with drivers who I have not seen for a while because of the busy racing season."

Haymarket Exhibitions Show Director Ian France is delighted to welcome the Scottish endurance driver back to Autosport International: "We are so pleased to celebrate such an amazing year with Allan," said France. "All the fans are looking forward to seeing him return to the show as the Le Mans winner."
