EASTBOURNE clinched the Elite League Knockout Cup with a 45-45 draw at Poole on Sunday.The Eagles had won the first leg of the Final by 22 points and therefore prevented their South coast rivals from completing a League and Cup double.Skipper Lee Richardson said: "The performance at home set us up and it just shows that when all the boys fire, we can beat anyone."

WEYMOUTH's talented reserve Kyle Newman will be forced to miss the re-scheduled second leg of the Conference League Final at Boston on Wednesday.Newman is starting a two-month speedway scholarship in Australia and will be replaced! by Tim Webster.Wildcats manager Jem Dicken said: "To say I'm very happy with a 44 point lead would be an understatement and hopefully we'll bring the trophy back to Dorset."
