(SPEEDWAY 1)SHEFFIELD will stage the first-ever Speedway Riders Benevolent Fund meeting on Sunday, March 29.A host of top names are set to appear in the event to raise cash for injured riders, both past and present.Sheffield co-promoter Neil Machin said: "We're delighted to stage this. It will take place at a time when riders are wanting to sharpen up. We're already getting indications that some big names will do it."(SPEEDWAY 2)BIRMINGHAM boss Graham Drury is expected to complete a new signing for the club this weekend.Said Drury: "I can confirm I've already held preliminary talks with the rider, with the permission of his parent club, and the lad himself is keen to do a deal."I don't anticipate any problems and expect to be in a position to finalise everything when I return from the AGM in Spain early next week."
