Tom Cave passes driving test

The UK’s first minor international rally driver, Tom Cave, today passed his UK driving test. He has now ticked every box on his way to becoming the youngest ever competitor to take part in next week’s finale of the FIA World Rally Championship, Wales Rally GB.

With his UK road license secured, Tom can now concentrate on the final preparation for his debut in the UK round of the WRC, which begins on the evening of Thursday 4th December at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.

Speaking after the test, Tom said: “I’m delighted to pass my test today. It was the last hurdle to get over before I could take the start of Wales Rally GB and it’s a huge relief to have it out of the way. Now I can concentrate on the rally and my preparations for the most important motorsport event of my life.”

There will be more news from Tom Cave Racing later this week, following a final pre-event test.
