Carrera Cup GB 2009 to launch ..

at Autosport InternationalThe 2009 Porsche Carrera Cup GB will be officially unveiled at Autosport International at the Birmingham NEC on 8-11 January 2009. The wraps will come off the 2009 season for the fastest one-make race series in Britain during the major pre-season show.The Carrera Cup GB will have a stand at the show, which is an ideal opportunity for both teams and drivers looking at the championship to meet the key people involved in running the hugely successful Carrera Cup GB, one of the key support races to the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship.As well as displaying one of the stunning 420bhp 911GT3 Cup cars, the stand will be a focal point for Carrera Cup teams, drivers and their sponsors during the show, which has an annual attendance in excess of 80,000.Also on hand throughout the show will be Tom Bradshaw and Lewis Hopkins, the winners of the Carrera Cup GB Scholarship Programme. This will be the first of a range of activities planned for the two young drivers who have each been awarded £50,000 towards their season in the Carrera Cup GB in 2009."Autosport International is the traditional start point for the new racing season and we look forward to welcoming current and prospective teams and drivers," said championship manager Marion Barnaby.
