V8 Utes Australia are heading to Sydney this week to compete at their final round of the Yokohama V8 Utes Racing Series at Oran Park and whilst there, will stop by Gordon Leven Tyres and More at Emu Plains.

The drivers will appear at the store on Wednesday, 3rd December from 1pm as part of a Yokohama based event.

The event will include a BBQ and free signed poster giveaways from the V8 Ute drivers.

Some of the drivers to appear include: Reigning Champion, Grant Johnson, son of a legend George Miedecke and Ford hotshot Craig Dontas.

There will also be a number of Ford and Holden V8 Race Utes on display for those wishing to get up close and personal with the cars that will appear on the circuit at Oran Park just a day later.

Craig Denyer from SPHERIX, the Category Managers of the V8 Utes, said he was happy to announce that this will be the first of many Yokohama events that are planned for the 2009 series.

“We are hoping to do more of these in conjunction with all of the rounds next year,” he said.

“It is very exciting that the drivers are supporting the local stores and gives V8 Ute fans a chance to meet their favourite driver and grab an autograph.”

NRMA Motoring & Services Grand Finale is the last V8 Supercar event to be held at Oran Park and the Yokohama V8 Ute Racing Series teams and drivers all feel privileged to be a part of such an historic event.

Race Two of the final round will be televised on the Seven Network on Saturday, 6 December from 3.25pm and Race Three on Sunday, 7th December from 3:30pm AEDT.
