DR kart – the brand launched by five-time World Kart Champion, Danilo Rossi – is now available in the UK.

Newly appointed British importers, Total Karting Limited gave British karters their first look at the chassis during last weekend’s Kartmania show (1/2 December 2008).

Director Steve Green said “We had a huge amount of interest in the DR Kart on both days.  We’re very proud to be working directly in association with Danilo and CRG. Danilo was the CRG Race Team Manager for many years, and looking at the DR chassis shows you just how he’s used all that experience – its beautifully constructed, lightweight, and has some great design features.  It also benefits from having had well over a year’s intensive testing and development.”

There are two chassis currently available – the M92 (for harder tyre classes, such as Rotax) and the J90 (ideal for KF1, 2, and 3).  The model names reference the locations and dates of two of Rossi’s greatest World title wins – Jesolo and Mariembourg.

Both models will feature best quality chassis tubing, all magnesium accessories (ie: bearing hangers and hubs), floating disc brakes and fully-adjustable steering geometry.  This overall lightweight package represents incredible quality and value, as the kart is priced very competitively.

Race Team Manager, Elliott Green says, “We’re confident that the DR Kart range will very quickly make an impact on the British and European racing scene.  We are currently arranging a series of test days in December and January and would welcome enquiries from drivers interested in joining our 2009 Rotax and KF teams, testing one of the chassis for themselves or in becoming a DR kart distributor”.
