Exclusive Free Karting Workshop

Brabham’s Top Tips For Success – Exclusive Free Karting Workshop

 Only At The Karting Show

Sportscar legend David Brabham will introduce a new free Karting Workshop at the Karting Show 2009, 8-11 January at the NEC Birmingham. The double GT1 Le Mans 24-Hour class winner will share the fundamentals a driver must master to establish a foundation to build a future motorsport career in a special workshop at 10.15am on Saturday 10 January.

Brabham is still at the peak of his career as he prepares to move to LMP1 with Patrón Highcroft Racing and Acura in the prestigious American Le Mans Series for 2009 after narrowly missing out on the 2008 LMP2 title. As one of the most successful pilots in ALMS history, Brabham is the only driver to have captured pole positions and wins in each of the four series classes, and was also voted ‘Most Popular Driver’ by ALMS fans and Motors TV viewers this year.

The British-born Australian’s illustrious career stretches from karting through British Formula 3 to Formula One with the Brabham and Simtek teams, as well as F3000, touring cars, GT and sports prototype racing. As the son of triple F1 world champion Sir Jack, natural talent is unquestionable, but David’s unflinching focus and positive mental attitude have become his winning trade mark.

“I’m looking forward to hosting the first Karting Workshop at the Karting Show and to sharing some of my winning ethos with budding potential motorsport champions,” said Brabham. “A big part of what I will be presenting comes from the Brabham Performance Clinic, where we highlight the areas that impact on performance. It’s all about a driver’s self-awareness, about how you operate as a person and how that influences others around you. I hope that my Karting Show session will help a small group of drivers to understand themselves more, to help them move on to achieve whatever they want to achieve.”

The Karting Workshop will be available for 25 karters, who must be MSA licence holders aged between 12 and 17 years. The limited places are guaranteed to be in demand, so book now for this free workshop by visiting thekartingshow.co.uk and completing the online form. Workshop participants must have a valid ticket for Autosport International on Saturday.
