Porsche Club Championship and Porsche Open 2009 Race Dates Announced
Nine double headers for Porsche Club Championship Six meetings for Porsche Open Supporting WTCC at Brands Hatch Porsche vs Ferrari race for Open runners
Porsche Club GB can now announce the 2009 calendars for their Porsche Open and Porsche Club Championship series, with both series now open for registration for 2009 competitors. The schedule features nine double-header meetings for the Club Championship, who are joined at six of those meetings by the Porsche Open competitors – the two series twice combining to produce the 40+ car plus grids that have provided such great racing in recent seasons, a highlight being the World Touring Car Championship meeting at Brands Hatch in July.
New for 2009 will be a visit to the Anglesey circuit for the first time, while the Club Championship also returns to Thruxton for the first time in several seasons. A highlight for the Porsche Open runners will be a one-off ‘Porsche vs Ferrari' race at Castle Combe in August – where the Open racers will take on competitors from the Ferrari Owner’s Club’s ‘Open’ series, bringing back the spirit of the Porsche vs Ferrari series that was last run at the start of the decade
