MSA’s Let’s Go Karting scheme

ARKS ANNOUNCES PLANS FOR £10,000 SUPPORT FOR MSA LET’S GO KARTING

The Association of Racing Kart Schools have joined forces with the MSA’s Let’s Go Karting scheme and have allocated up to £10,000 in vouchers that can be used at ARKS kart schools nationwide, it was announced at the Karting Show at Autosport International today.  Subject to the Let’s Go Karting scheme continuing in 2009, all participants will be given a £25 voucher which can be redeemed at one of the MSA recognised kart schools towards a training course.

Commenting from the Karting Show at the NEC, ARKS Chairman Ian Ward said: “The Let’s Go Karting scheme is brilliant in helping to encourage youngsters from all walks of life to try a proper racing kart, but we realise that there are still hurdles in taking the next steps before being able to race.  ARKS wants to help encourage new kart drivers and our kart schools offer the best way to progress to a more in-depth driver training experience, under the guidance of experienced licenced instructors.  Drivers can progress towards taking their Novice Driver ARKS Test, required before gaining a competition licence, and many of the schools also offer a complete arrive-and-drive race service.  We are thrilled to be able to offer these £25 vouchers redeemable towards training courses.”

The vouchers will be valid for three months from the date of issue and may not be used in conjunction with other promotions.  There are eleven ARKS Schools in the U.K., details on www.arks.co.uk.  ARKS has teamed up with the Association of British Kart Clubs on Stand 6406 at the Karting Show, which is hosted within Europe’s largest motorsport show - Autosport International.

Rod Taylor, co-ordinator for Let’s Go Karting, said: “I welcome the ARKS involvement with Let’s Go Karting and it’s great news that another £10,000 is being invested in helping youngsters to go kart racing.  Let’s Go Karting has had over 2500 participants in 2008, and we look forward to even more trying out a race kart in 2009.”  More details can be found on .letsgokarting.net
