Maryeve seeks British F3 drive

The Litespeed F3 team is hoping to bring one of the world's leading female single-seater racers to the grid of the Cooper Tires British Formula 3 International Series. Canadian star Maryeve Dufault has tested the team's Mugen Honda-powered SLC R1 chassis and is planning a UK campaign, budget permitting.

If she signs a deal with Litespeed, 26-year-old Quebecois Dufault would be the first woman to grace a British F3 grid in a decade. "We were delighted with Maryeve's test results," said Litespeed technical director Steve Kenchington. "She applied a professional and methodical approach in making the step into a British F3 car, focusing on learning the circuit and the challenge of driving in wet conditions. With more seat time she will have the opportunity to fulfil her potential."

Maryeve raced last year in the Skip Barber regional single-seater series and has Formula BMW experience also.
