NEW Poole signing Kyle Legault has his sights set firmly on reaching the Grand Prix series.

Legault is preparing for his first season at Elite League level and has been racing in Argentina after recovering from injury.He said: “I want to help put Canadian speedway on a different level by achieving GP status and also for the future of speedway to grow in my country.”

SWINDON boss Alun Rossiter is backing his side to challenge for the Elite League title.

The Robins were beaten by Lakeside in the semi-final last season but Rossiter reckons he has a stronger side going into the new campaign.He said: “We have the best spearhead in the league in Leigh Adams and we have added some strength in depth. I’m cautiously optimistic for the new season.”
