Gaw & Dryburgh set for ..
Porsche Carrera Cup GB debutsJohn Gaw and Phil Dryburgh are the latest drivers to confirm plans to race in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB this season, sharing a car in selected races under the Team Kinfaun banner. The Scottish duo has raced together in Britcar events in recent seasons but is now planning to step up to the Carrera Cup GB for a selection of races. As Dryburgh lives within a few miles of the Knockhill circuit, it is highly likely that the Scottish races will be part of his schedule. "We'll do a selection of races between us," said Gaw, who will manage the running of the 911GT3 Cup car from his base near Reading. "It's a small private team. Phil got into racing with me about three years ago and the Carrera Cup pro-am2 category is a great opportunity for us."Gaw started racing eight years ago and enjoyed considerable success in Caterhams. He later raced in the Le Mans Series in a Lola prototype and last raced on the BTCC support package when he did a season in Renault Clios. For the last three years he has raced several Porsches in endurance events. The team name, Kinfaun, is taking from a little used Scottish word meaning 'the top of the hill'. Gaw and Dryburgh will both take part in the Carrera Cup test and media day at Silverstone on 16 March.
