MSA British Sporting Car Trial

Championship - Round 3 - Peter Blankstone - Midland Automobile Club - 8th March 2009 - Shelsley Walsh 

Ian Wright ended up a clear winner of the second running of the Peter Blankstone trial at Shelsley Walsh. Wright used all his power and high gearing in extremely wet conditions, which resulted in the event been stopped after two rounds due to safety concerns. Steve Courts also excelled in second, winning a tie-break with British Champion John Fack. Richard Robarts in his new RB7 won the intermediate class from Antony Lane, with Ed Wells winning the novice class from Ian Evitt.

Ian Rodman and Mike Readings in their new Sherpa Indys both finished the trial in the top half of the entry. Sporting trial newcomers Matthew Weston and Antony Smith debuted their home-built car named the "Shelsley Bug".
