Last season Jordan again competed in Formula Renault UK taking his maiden pole position at the Silverstone round and is now expected to be a leading title contender this year.

Jordan will join the trio of Hungarian Formula Renault vice-champion Tamas Pal Kiss, Formula BMW Pacific Scholarship winner Marlon Stockinger and fellow Briton Nick Yelloly, no stranger to FRenault having contested last year’s Winterseries, in the Silverstone-based team’s line-up. Hitech Junior Team Principal David Hayle is happy with the performance of all his drivers in recent testing and now looks forward to his team’s debut season on the BTCC support package.

“We’re delighted to have Jordan on board,” said Hayle.  “We now have a terrific line-up of drivers in the team and I’m sure Jordan could be a serious title contender. We ran him in the recent tests at Snetterton and his performance was very impressive, running second quickest on day one.

“Equally the other three drivers in the team have all gone exceptionally well in pre-season testing, and all of them bring their own blend of enthusiasm and knowledge to the team so we’re looking forward to what promises to be an exciting first year in the Formula Renault UK Championship.”

The team will continues its extensive test programme at Oulton Park on Wednesday (March 18) before returning to its home track of Silverstone next week. The opening rounds of the championship will take place on the Brands Hatch Indy Circuit the following weekend April 4/5.
