BIG CROWD TURN OUT FOR TOM P
ENTERTAINMENT was the name of the game at Tom P. Madsen's Testimonial onFriday evening at King's Lynn.
For the record Madsen's quartet won the four-team event, but the real winneron the night were the fans who turned out to support the popular Dane.The Berwick asset put on a super show for the bumper Norfolk Arena crowd,with some great racing on the track, as well as a deluge of entertainmentgoing on, off it.
The individual star of the night was Grand Prix superstar Hans Andersen whoscored a faultless 12-point maximum and his Team Industrial Links team wasably backed by former Reading star Ulrich Ostergaard, who scored animpressive 10.
However the Danish duo couldn't stop Team Hayley East Anglia storming tovictory by a two-point margin, with Kevin Doolan (10), Kenneth Bjerre (9),Simon Stead (9) and Madsen (3), contributing to their 31-point tally.Madsen was delighted with how the evening went. He said: "I've been reallynervous all week in the lead up to the meeting, but thankfully everythingwent really well.
"The riders put on a great show for the fans and it was heart-warming to seesuch a big crowd turn out on what was a cold night. It means an awful lot tome to have so many people attend and the feedback we've received suggeststhat they really enjoyed themselves.
