Fat Burner Tests in Barcelona

After three very valuable days of work at Paul Ricard last week, Fat Burner Racing Engineering has prepared its cars to take part in the second and last of the GP2 pre-season tests at Barcelona from the 23rd to the 25th of March. The Spanish team has an ambitious work program for this test in the Catalonian Circuit, where during the second weekend of May will take place the first round of the 2009 GP2 Championship.

While the test in Paul Ricard was an opportunity for both the team and drivers to get to know each other better and familiarize themselves with the GP2 2009 car, the Circuito de Cataluña, considered as one of the main testing venues by F1 and GP2 teams, will prove a real test for all the participants to show their skills and true potential.

For the first time the teams will run with medium, instead of the hard compound tyres in Barcelona, which means the tyre degradation will be a major point in the testing program of the Fat Burner Racing Engineering team.

Team rookie Dani Clos will have an intense work program during these three days of testing, as Fat Burner Racing Engineering will give him the chance to run a qualifying and race simulation. This will allow him to learn and adapt to driving on used tyres with a heavy fuel load, and he will also have the opportunity to control tyre degradation through driving style, a vital point as the championship will kick off in at the Circuito de Cataluña, Dani’s home track, in May.
