Polini Motori, the Italian motorcycle manufactuer, has agreed a deal to become the title sponsor of the Japan round of the FIM MotoGP World Championship. The GP, which will be known as the Polini Grand Prix of Japan, will take place in Japan's Twin Ring Motegi circuit in April.

The deal continues Polini's association with MotoGP and will help promote the Polini Motori brand in the Far East for the 2009 season. The company were also title sponsors of last year's Malaysian Grand Prix.

Polini Motori have won five titles in the MotoGP World Championship, three in the 125cc class, one in the former 500cc class and one in the current MotoGP class.
