Puglisi returns to Formula Master

International Formula Master (IFM) race winner Marcello Puglisi will return to the Series this weekend with team ADM Motorsport, bringing the grid for IFM's first two 2009 rounds, in Pau to 21 cars.

With a win on the French street circuit already secured last year, combined with substantial experience of the Series, Puglisi is hoping to make up for a lack of pre-season testing.

"The majority of drivers racing this weekend will have tested with Formula Master over the past few months," said Puglisi, who has taken part in every IFM race since the Series' creation. "That's a sizeable advantage since the car has been updated again and will handle differently. The last time I raced a single-seater was in GP2 last year so this weekend will be a challenge.

"A good result is definitely possible though. I like this track very much, I've won here before, and with two races taking place, a top finish is achievable in the second round. This is what I'm aiming for!

"It'll be a good experience to have Earl Bamber as my team-mate too. He's a very good driver and I look forward to working with him and the team."

The first 2009 IFM race weekend gets underway this Friday with two free practice sessions, followed by qualifying and race one on Saturday, and race two on Sunday. Both rounds will be shown live on Eurosport International as well as Eurosport Asia Pacific:

Race 1: Saturday 16 May 2009, from 10:00 GTMRace 2: Sunday 17 May 2009, from 11:45 GTM
