Glynn Geddie will be back in action again for rounds 5 and 6 of the Porsche Carrera Cup GB at Donington Park this weekend.
The Team Parker Racing ace heads into the meeting leading the Pro-Am 1 category and lies in a strong 4th position in the overall standings after notching up his third Pro-Am 1 podium of the year at Thruxton last month.
Like Thruxton, the Derbyshire circuit's tarmac will be new to Geddie, but he's determined not to let that halt his charge, setting his sights on the top step of the podium, as the Scot explains:
"We've got to aim for the win at Donington and that's exactly what we are planning to do. It's vital that we build on our strong results from Brands and Thruxton to keep at the sharp end of both championship tables and I'm confident we can deliver this weekend."
Donington Park has been the source of much scepticism and speculation recently over track modifications for the venue to stage the 2010 British Grand Prix, seeing ! the cancellation of race meetings earlier in the season and putting this weekend's meeting in jeopardy. However, after officials inspected the ongoing work to the track and its surroundings, the circuit has been granted the green light for the meeting to go ahead as scheduled.
ITV4 will once again be providing live coverage of the event, which supports the MSA British Touring Car Championship, from 11.30am-6.00pm on Sunday.
