The show of strength towards the emerging Asian market and Suzuki's priorities in this direction have been digested and appreciated by the Rockstar Energy Suzuki World MX1 team.
From the Grand Prix of United States at Glen Helen, the third round of the FIM Motocross World Championship on May 15th, the factory RM-Z450s of Clement Desalle and Steve Ramon have been carrying the 'Change & Challenge' logo created by Suzuki Motor Corporation. The design has already been incorporated in the scheme of the GSV-R MotoGP machine.
"Obviously in motocross we can struggle for space on our motorcycles compared to say a road racing bike, but we were very happy to find a spot for 'Change & Challenge'," said Team Owner Sylvain Geboers. "This is a positive initiative from Suzuki after a tough few years for the industry and of course after the bad situation to hit Japan recently. We offer our full support."
The 'Change & Challenge' logo was originally placed on the rear fenders of the works machines and then shifted to a more prominent position in the black shade of the seat. "It is one of those things that makes you aware of being in the Suzuki family so it is pretty cool to do," said current MX1 World Championship leader Desalle, winner of two Grands Prix in 2011.
