The critically acclaimed film, which explores the life – and untimely death – of Formula One superstar Ayrton Senna has opened to rave reviews all over the world and received the 2011 World Cinema Documentary Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival in California. It is wholly appropriate that the private screening will close the Marussia Virgin Racing weekend in style when it is shown to the select audience on Sunday evening – 10 July – in the magnificent grounds of Stowe School, adjacent to Silverstone Circuit.  What’s more Manish Pandey, the writer of ‘Senna’, will introduce this special viewing and will be on hand to give a unique insight into the making of this incredible documentary.

“I am delighted to be able to give the Marussia Virgin Racing team this opportunity,” said Manish Pandey. “We worked together with a private viewing in Monaco earlier this year which was really well received and I know it will be an incredibly receptive audience at Silverstone in a truly magical setting.”

The screening of ‘Senna’ will signal the final activity of what’s already an action-packed weekend where campers will enjoy unrivalled access to the circuit from the adjacent Stowe School, a real festival atmosphere with bands and DJs performing live every evening throughout the weekend, award winning catering from Jamie Oliver’s Fabulous Feasts plus the chance to meet and mingle with the drivers and team members of Marussia Virgin Racing most of whom will be joining in the evening activities and staying on site.

Said Andy Webb, Marussia Virgin Racing CEO: “The whole weekend should be a great celebration of motor sport with a real festival atmosphere. As ever, we hope to break the mould and create something really special at Stowe. The inclusion of the Senna film will provide a fitting finale to what’s going to be a fabulous weekend and will certainly close the event in style. We are grateful to Manish Pandey for making this possible.”Full information on the packages available can be found on Virgin Experience Days website or by clicking on the link below:virginexperiencedays.co.uk/marussiavirginracingweekend/
