Yoong and Gruber to contest 6-hour race

* Two Audi R8 LMS of Audi race experience to run on the Nordschleife  * 100th victory of the Audi R8 LMS  * Special Le Mans evening in London on October 8th A run on the legendary Nordschleife: Alexander Yoong and Florian Gruber will contest the seventh race of the season in the Nürburgring Endurance Championship (VLN) in the Audi R8 LMS for the Audi race experience team. The Malaysian-German duo will tackle the 6-hour ADAC Ruhr Cup race next weekend (August 27th). The second Audi race experience car will be driven by the Germans Marco Werner and Christian Bollrath and the Italian Luca Cappellari. A special opportunity for UK motorsport fans: The Audi factory drivers Allan McNish and Tom Kristensen will be guests of the British print magazine MotorSport on October 8th. The tradition-steeped magazine will be hosting a readers' evening at the Audi quattro Rooms/London. In addition to watching the captivating documentary "Truth in 24" about the 2008 Le Mans 24 Hours, attendees will also have the chance to meet the 2008 Le Mans winners. The race engineers Howden "H" Haynes and Leena Gade, who led the Audi trio of Kristensen/McNish/Capello to victory that year, will be present as well. Anniversary for the Audi R8 LMS: Hiroshi Hamaguchi was the dominant driver on the fourth race weekend of the Asian GT Championship at Suzuka. In his Audi R8 LMS fielded by the Hitotsuyama Racing team he commandingly clinched start-finish victories in both races on the Japanese Formula One circuit. For Audi's GT3 sports car the event marked victories number 99 and 100. Two podium places were celebrated by the Audi R8 LMS at the finale of the Swedish GT Championship season at Knutstorp: Erik Behrens/Daniel Roos (Alfab Racing) finished as the overall runners-up in front of their brand colleagues Jan Brunstedt and Andreas Simonsen (Brunstedt Motorsport).
