Isaac Tutumlu heads to Spa for Porsche Supercup

The Spanish driver of Kurdish origin going to drive a new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup in 2011 specs  lined up by Barzani Racing Team-Attempto Racing at Spa.

“Barzani Racing Team and I are using a new Porsche lined up by Attempto Racing, and not the previously used model from MRS and which was a 2010 car. I am looking forward to the Belgian meeting, because this new car will be more competitive. After the problems which we had during free practice sessions in Monaco and Hungary, I think this change is for the better.

"Attempto Racing is very experienced team, because they know how to win both Porsche Supercup and German Supercup”, Tutumlu explained. He added  “We´d like to test before Spa-Francorchamps, but we couldn´t find a date. Anyway after this race, we will set a date for a test day previous to Monza or Abu Dhabi. We want to approach the end in a good shape”.

Spa-Francorchamps, almost seven kilometers long, is a track “which I know from 2009, when I competed in Porsche Supercup that year. It´s a fantastic track, and I really love it. Spa is a very difficult circuit, because it´s really long and its corners are a real challenge for any driver. Your attitude plays an important role to set a good lap time. I will try my best and my aim is to get a good result for Barzani Racing Team, and surely this new car is a good tool for it”.

Free practice session is scheduled on Friday at 16.50, while qualifying will be at 12.25 on Saturday. The race is on Sunday at 11.45, just before Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix 2011.
