Ocean Racing Technology in the Top 5 at Spa

Ocean Racing Technology dazzled in the first GP2 Series race at Spa-Francorchamps. On the circuit considered by all to be the season's toughest and most demanding, the Portuguese team secured an excellent 5th place finish thanks to its latest addition, Brendon Hartley, who enabled Ocean to bring home its first points of 2011.Johnny Cecotto Jr was not to be outdone. The Venezuelan driver skillfully moved up into 8th position, the reward for which was one point and the pole position in the second race. Unfortunately, his car switched into safety mode and Cecotto ended up finishing the race in 11th place. At the end of the first race, both teammates had contradictory feelings. While Brendon Hartley was happy with his 5th place finish obtained after a start in 11th position, Johnny Cecotto Jr could not hide his disappointment. "I had a perfect start, which let me move up several places. In the first few laps, I had to adapt to the car's behavior on a dry track, but I managed to stay up front," remarked Brendon Hartley, adding "I think that we did a great job as a team and I am happy to bring Ocean its first points. By starting from 4th position on the grid in the second race, I hope to be able to fight for a podium."Johnny Cecotto Jr started from the wet side of the track, which made his task complicated because he was driving on slick tyres. "I lost and recovered places in the first lap. Unfortunately, the safety car came onto the track but I managed to recover 8th position in the last lap. I should have been starting from the pole position tomorrow, but the car switched itself to safety mode in the last corner and I found myself in 11th. Obviously, I am very disappointed."
