Regalia third and sixth on the grid in Italian F3 at Adria

Team Ghinzani´s Argentinean driver had to cope with understeer during qualifying session at Adria, despite his problems, Regalia will try to improve during today's races.

Facu Regalia did not have an easy qualifying session for the fifth meeting of Italian Formula 3 championship, he was the fastest man on track during collective testing at Adria one month ago. .In first free practice session, despite he was ninth, in the second free practice session, Regalia improved to become third fastest and just one tenth behind Brandon Maisano, who was leading.

However qualifying was a harder due to understeer problems.

“My first set of tires was successful, because I was fourth fastest, and In my opinion I had chances to fight for pole position. But my car was experiencing understeer as accelerating hard after the apex, because track conditions were different from when collective testing was held in July. With second set, my engineer changed setup details, and I could improve one tenth, but understeer was worst”, Regalia explained afterwards.

“I need two good starts, because Adria is a short and narrow track and it is a problem to overtake other cars. I feel a bit disappointed, but we keep working hard to get our best on Sunday”, Regalia said.
