Round 10: Gaby Mohr, 4 September

New champion Barrie Parker continued his domination of the season by winning the Gaby Mohr Car Trial, his fifth triumph in the last seven events.

Parker started slowly on new tyres in damp conditions, but stamped his authority on the event when the ground began to dry.

The front-wheel-drive class featured a titanic battle between Neil Mackay, Ray Jacobs and Rupert North. The latter started badly with two mistakes but came through to win the class ahead of Jacobs. Steve Courts gradually opened out a clear lead in the rear-wheel-drive class ahead of Malcolm Brown, while Duncan Stephens won the highly modified class.
