"Season winding down for La Rocca"
With the racing season winding down, Venezuelan pilot Robert La Rocca will travel to Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, Conneticut for the penultimate round in the Pro F2000 Championship Series. Competing with the Auto Errante - HP Tech Motorsport squad, La Rocca will be back behind the wheel of his Ralph Firman Racing designed car in the hopes to stand atop the podium.
"We have had a very successful season to date," expressed La Rocca. "We have done a lot of development work on the car in the off weeks as I have been on track pounding out test laps. The determination and professionalisim of the team is second to none and their willingness to work hard and win is incredible."
Speaking of testing, La Rocca and his team traveled to the Homestead Miami Speedway to work on the car. Working with his current engineer and the car designer, Ralph Firman, the test was a productive one with gains made along the way.
La Rocca continued, "We found some really good things that improved the pace of the car and with that, we believe that we will be very strong for the remaning four races with some great chances to claim victories."
Currently, La Rocca and his Auto Errante - HP Tech Motorsport team sits fourth in the overall series point standings and with a little luck, the duo has a strong chance at claiming the overall series title. With plenty of points up for grabs, La Rocca also hopes to claim the Pro F2000 Championship Series Rookie-of-the-Year award, in what will certainly be a fierce battle in the remaining four rounds.
With practice getting underway on the morning of Friday, September 16th, qualifying will take place later that day with a pair of races completing the weekend on Saturday.
