Ordonez Beats Rain to Grab Skip Barber National Pole

Drivers of the 2011 BFGoodrich/Skip Barber National presented by Mazda qualified on a wet track at Autobahn Country Club. Fighting for the California Scents Pole Position, drivers started the session on the wet line, but ten minutes before the 28 minute session ended, the clouds moved and the sun came out, allowing the track to slowly dry. Sebastian Ordonez earned his fourth California Scents Pole Position of the season, picking up another championship point in the process.

MAZDASPEED Motorsports Development driver Trent Hindman will be starting in second and Franco Aragones in third. Points leader Scott Anderson will be starting tomorrow’s race in fourth.
