Big Names sign up for the RideoffroadUK Iron Man Xtreme

KTM / Husaberg UK confirmed as title sponsor

The first running of the RideoffroadUK Iron Man Xtreme on the 29th October has attracted some big names from the off road industry, adding weight to what is already billed as the Xtreme event to round out the 2011 season. The event is being run at the fantastic Low North Park venue, Harwood Dale near Scarborough. As RideoffroadUK already run some of their championship rounds at this venue, and with it being a trials park, this is clearly the right place to run such a high profile event.

Headlining the event is KORR Enduro sensation Jonny Walker. Jonny will seek to extend his run of success from a stunning ISDE performance and his Erzberg 3rd place at his first attempt. Jonny's trials background will see him start as favourite to lift the Iron Man Xtreme trophy in 2011.

Adding spice and shear determination to the Iron Man Xtreme will be newly crowned 2011 British MX1 Champion Brad "Ando" Anderson. Brad will be attacking the Iron Man Xtreme in his usual "never say die" attitude. His interest in the Iron Man Xtreme means this will be something rather special to see. Brad will have his usual army of supporters following him to Harwood Dale to urge him on to crack this hard event. He will be joined by a host of other MX stars aiming to try this "cross over" event - Matt Moffat has confirmed and current MX2 British Masters Champion Bryan Mackenzie is also hoping to attend and compete.

Add in the mix newly crowned European Trials Champion Jack Challoner who fancies turning his hand to a bit of winter training! And then Enduro riders like RideoffroadUK's own 2007 Hells Gate winner and Last Man Standing runner up Wayne Braybrook, Scott Austin and Andy Noakley.

Ex trials men and current British E3 Champion Gary Jenkins and also Joe Deakin along with Rob Dawson, and super vet Ady Smith to name but a few. Gary Daniels and his sister Jane Daniels will also be starring. Jane aims to be in the main event so watch out men! We should point out that if Mr Braybrook does make the prize money he has already pledged it to be split between the winners of other classes.

There will be full race commentary with pre and post event interviews, Pro/Expert pit lane, trade stands headlined by 15 ton KTM/Husaberg UK product display truck means the Iron Man Xtreme has the backing of the best products currently available to off road junkies.

"The investment from KTM/Husaberg UK, Putoline, Dunlop and Gaerne shows just how much faith the industry has in the established RideoffroadUK organisation. The venue is the best in the UK for Trials and Enduro, so it was obvious to us that this special event had to be held here" said Braybrook.

The 90 minute qualification event will be Hare & Hounds style with some technical aspect to the course. The main Iron man Xtreme event for the 50 transfer riders will be 2 hours over a much more demanding track. There are 3 no help spectator zones which will create the most interest for spectators and fans.

Admission tickets for those coming to watch will be available on the gate priced at £10 for adults and £5 for kids. Massive secure hard standing spectator parking area, camping available and catering on site at realistic prices to ensure families can make this Iron Man Xtreme Enduro a memorable one.

Rideoffroaduk are still looking for any potential sponsors and still have trade stands available to buy. Please message them for more details. Entries for Trials, MX, Enduro or Road Racers are still open - get yourself booked in!
