Superleague Formula Series moves to Silverstone HQ‏

Superleague Formula Series has relocated its operations headquarters to the world famous Silverstone Circuit in the UK.

After coordinating its first four seasons of competition from Barcelona, the nations cup series has moved to the home of British motorsport from where the remainder of this season’s championship and forthcoming 2012 campaign will be directed.

Located at the heart of Britain’s ‘Motorsport Valley’, Silverstone Business Park offers Superleague Formula the ideal environment in which to expand its global appeal further afield.

Robin Webb, Competitions Director: “Superleague Formula’s internal make-up has changed a great deal since the championship began in 2008. After four seasons of competition it was decided that basing our operations at Silverstone’s burgeoning Business Park, which boasts a growing number of specialised industry leaders, could only be good for the series moving forward. Operating out of Silverstone also brings the championship closer to a number of its suppliers, which I hope will help strengthen existing partnerships and open doors to new ones. As someone brought up on a diet of British motor racing, it’s a place that is particularly close to my heart.”
