Alex Walker Targets InterSteps Title at Croft

The InterSteps Championship reaches its' climax this weekend with the final three rounds of the season which will take place at Croft, and Fortec Motorsport's Alex Walker will be out to do all he can to come out on top and take the title.Last time out at Brands Hatch, the 16-year-old from Oldham came away with two 2nd placed finishes and a 3rd, which enabled him to take the championship to the wire in what is his debut season of car racing.Walker, who has secured 13 podiums in the 17 races so far this season, sits 2nd in the drivers' standings with a 30-point deficit, but with 96 points still up for grabs the title hunt is still very much alive.Alex Walker:"Croft is a new circuit for me so I'll need to work hard and learn as much as I can in the limited track time we have before qualifying on Saturday."This is a obviously a crucial weekend as the championship is still open but I'll approach it like any other in the sense that I'll be pushing myself to do the best job I can."It's been very tight and competitive all season so we need to make sure we get everything right. Some of it is out of our hands though and I'll need a bit of luck on my side as it's will be tough to make up the points gap, but I have a fighting chance and I won't give up until it's over."InterSteps Championship: Rounds 18, 19 & 20:Qualifying: Saturday 10.25 (30 mins)Race 1: Saturday 15.05 (20 mins)Race 2: Sunday 13.00 (20 mins)Race 3: Sunday 16.55 (20 mins)
