WITH CECCON, FILIPPI AND ONIDI
The GP2 season ended just 10 days ago with the Monza weekend, but for Scuderia Coloni it’s already time to get back on track. The Italian team had really little time to celebrate Luca Filippi’s second place in the GP2 standings, as the whole staff started working at full steam immediately after the home race in order to make the cars ready for the Jerez test, due to start tomorrow.
On the Spanish track all the teams will gather for two days for the first session of the post-season period, getting a chance to work on a track that, thanks to a very varied layout, is one of the most appreciated ones for the teams’ technical development work.
For this commitment Scuderia Coloni will line-up an all-italian trio with Kevin Ceccon, Luca Filippi and Fabio Onidi.Filippi will bring on the development work he did with the team during the second part of the season, while Ceccon will make his comeback with the team: the Italian driver, who just turned 18, already contested four GP2 events with Scuderia Coloni this season, so becoming the youngest driver in the Series history. His participation in the test is a prize for winning the Under 21 Trophy of Auto GP, his main commitment in 2011.Fabio Onidi also comes from Auto GP: 23 years old from Milan, Fabio was among the Series main actors in the last two seasons, clinching one win and 5 podium finishes. He already knows the team and the track, as in 2009 he already tested in Jerez on a Scuderia Coloni car.

Kevin, Luca and Fabio are among the most interesting talents of our motorsport scenario, and with them we know that we will be able to both evaluate our possibilities for 2012 and complete a fruitful development work on the car.
