Ginetta MSA British Short Circuit Kart Championship

PF International, 2 October

Tom Joyner was crowned the 2011 Ginetta MSA British Short Circuit Kart Champion after leading the standalone championship event at PFI from start to finish.

It was the inaugural meeting on PFI’s newly extended 1382m circuit, with its unique crossover bridge. Joyner was quickest in timed qualifying before taking third, first and fourth in the heats while his rivals struck misfortune.

Outgoing champion Mark Litchfield endured a seized engine in the second heat but worked his way up to third in the final behind David Sutton and winner Joyner. “In the heats we set the kart to be quick at the end, but for the final we decided to get away at the start,” said the new champion.
